Abuse goes both ways

She walks in with a fire in her eyes,
He turns with a whimper,
Upon unhinging her jaw,
A flurry of insults were unleashed,
Each word a knife,
Slowly sinking into his flesh,
Slicing away at his heart,
Making him bleed,
Her anger turns to violence,
Her palm finds his face,
A red mark of shame upon his face,

People often think of women,
Being the victim,
But often do not remember,
The men that were once rocks,
Now nothing but gravel,
We often forget,
That abuse goes both ways.
